Es ist mir eine Freude heute den ersten Workshop mit Fernando Ruiz von Heroes & Villains Miniatures in Deutschland anzukündigen. Fernando ist ein erfahrener Workshopleiter der mehrmals im Jahr Seminare weltweit abhält. Dieser nette Kontakt kam über Philip von Putty&Paint zu stande. Die Planung dazu begann im September vergangenen Jahres und nun ist es endlich soweit.

Ich hoffe es ist kein Problem das die Workshopankündigung selbst in Englisch ist. Ebenso wird der Workshop in englischer Sprache abgehalten.

Es ist wie alle Workshops und Events die ich organisiere, ein Deluxe Workshop d.h. für einen fairen Preis ist die Unterkunft und Verpflegung vor Ort inklusive.

Hi all!

We are really pleased to announce the first official H&V Miniatures Painting Seminar in Germany, that will be hosted near Stuttgart (1h with car):



Here are some extended details about the seminar:

• H&V Miniatures Painting seminar by Fernando Ruiz.
• It will be hosted in Freizeithaus St. Franziskus, 78176 Blumberg, the June 20-22th weekend.
• It will be hosted in the premises of a cottage We all stay in the cottage.
• The cottage offers you 4 bedrooms of different sizes, showers and toilets are plentiful. We even have a relax area in the vaulted cellar for using it after work.
• 20 seats.
• 24 hours divided in 3 days (Friday-Saturday-Sunday).
• The seminar will be about painting a bust, the Anglo-Norman Crusader from H&V Miniatures. We will paint the different areas of it in order to explain how to paint different materials and textures in large scale (skin, metal, cloth, etc.), insisting in particular on the face.
• Cost of the seminar: 160€ including the bust. The costs for meals and lodging: 65€ + 10€ deposit (all in all 235€).
• The language of the seminar will be English.

Among the concepts we will talk about:

• Choosing a palette for different types of flesh and skin effects.
• Painting eyes.
• Interpretation and balance of the features of a bust.
• Right application and use of acrylics.
• Use of Acrylic drying retarder.
• Zenithal highlighting, contrast and color theory.
• Highlights and shadows, how to apply them and how to blend them.
• Texture effects.

First of all, excuse me for speaking in English, but I only know a few words in German and half of them are not for all ears :P In any case it's a pleasure to be here.
It's an honour to participate in this event with Vlado and Phillip. I hope we will al have a great time there.

Ich will mal ein bisschen Werbung machen ^^

Für alle, die noch nicht an einem Workshop in Blumberg teilgenommen haben: es lohnt sich schon alleine wegen der Location.
Man ist rundum versorgt, trifft lustige Leute und das Essen von Harris ist einfach der Hammer :D

Ich denke auch, dass ich viel von Fernando lernen werde. Ich hab hier noch 2 Büsten stehn, die ich gern noch zuende malen möchte und das dann auch nach dem Workshop in angriff nehmen werde.

Ich war schon auf 2 Workshops in Blumberg, beide von Roman und Raffa und beide haben mir sehr geholfen und waren einfach großartig, auch wenn ich nicht so der Viel-Maler bin. Und ich würde mich einfach über einen Workshop bei einem anderen Maler freuen. Einfach um auch mal eine andere Seite kennen zu lernen.
Dafür müssen aber noch ein paar mehr Leute zum Workshop kommen.

Also an alle noch unentschlossenen: Der Workshop wird super, wie jeder Workshop in Blumberg.

PS: für alle, die vllt die Sprache abschreckt weil sie nicht so gut Englisch können: ich kann eigentlich ganz gut übersetzen ^^
PPS: ich denke auch es spricht für den Workshop wenn ich sage, dass ich dafür extra aus Erfurt nach Blumberg fahren werde, zum 3. mal. Falls jemand auf dem Weg liegt und nicht weiß wie er hin kommen soll, ich kann auch kleine Umwege fahren um noch jmd. mit zu nehmen.

Das kann ich nur Unterschreiben. Blumberg ist zwar am A... der Welt aber die Location ist gemütlich, ruhig gelegen und man hat nicht den Stress sich um irgendwas zu kümmern.
(Und das Essen von Haris is wirklich SUPER)

Abends nach "der Arbeit" im Gewölbekeller Bierchen zischen ist auch einfach schön - und was das Englisch angeht - dolmetschen kann ich auch

Ich komme aus Darmstadt - wenn jemand aus Rhein-Main ne Mitfahrgelegenheit sucht biete ich mich auch an.
