Hi, all
The Pigment Pirates club in collaboration with Big Panda V and FeR Miniatures are proud to present a new seminar in Germany. We are hosting a figure painting class in Hamburg, with Fernando Ruiz, renowned painter and owner of the company FeR Miniatures.
This course is intended to cover some of the basics and advanced techniques used by Fernando to paint busts.
The method of instruction will be personal enough to adapt to anyone's level.
This workshop will consist of two intensive sessions over two days (a full weekend). The seminar will be centered in painting a 1/12 pirate bust with acrylics. During the seminar, we will review in depth lots of factors both theorical and practical involved in the painting process and also in how to apply these concepts in similar busts and also other kind of miniatures.
The teacher will bring along a sample bust previously painted from Spain and will paint another one live to demonstrate the techniques. Also, we will count with a complete and detailed painting process in photographs that, with the help of a projector or screen, will be used to explain any possible doubt.
Included in the cost of the seminar will be the bust. Also, we’ll be providing reference material for each pupil in the form of a complete SBS on the miniature along with photographs of each step.
In a parallel way we plan to host a small exhibition with works made by the teacher and the pupils, to have the chance to comment and explain further techniques and doubts with in-hand examples.
Also we plan to do some other general activities in order to relax from the class hours and get the pupils to know each other in a good atmosphere of friendship and comradeship.
If you need a cheap place to sleep Heiko offers you to sleep in the Wu Dao Schule for 10€ per night (on mats on the floor). If you need to be there on friday belong you have a far way to travel there is the option to sleep from friday to saturday in the Schule too. The payment for the overnight stay you will do directly to Heiko at the seminar. Please let us know with your inscription if you like to sleep there.
